Paonia Players' musical theatre education programs serve to foster confidence, creativity and cooperation in young people.
Summer Camp programs give students the opportunity to learn and perform group dances as well as choreograph on their own. Voice camps build solo and ensemble singing techniques, while Acting camps provide experience with monologues, scene study and improvisation. Paonia Players after-school programs-Down With That! Dance Troupe and the Sunshine Singers will begin in the fall of 2011.

In this current economic climate, with school arts programs cut from the curriculum, it is important for all kids to have the chance to learn music and theatre skills. Studies repeatedly show that kids who are involved in after school programs, particularly in the arts, show more self-confidence and succeed in school more than kids who do not participate in such programs.
