Family Drug Court is a coalition of human service providers (social services, the Courts, treatment providers, attorneys, work force, etc.) who offer treatment and accountability to an increasing population/clientèle of methamphetamine addicted parents coming to the attention of the Courts and Human Services. Treatment is provided with the hopes of maintaining children living with their families or returning to their parents' custody as quickly as possible.
Typically, the children in these families are not involved in community activities. They frequently are challenged emotionally and socially. Funds raised through the Kids' Pasta Project will be used for activities for children to share with their parents (i.e. attending the Rec Center and swimming together) or with their peers (i.e. tuition for a dance class or fees for soccer). Funds donated from the Kids' Pasta Project will be dedicated for specific use with children who are a part of the Court's program.
